It’s back to the future for ISRI’s Superfund Recycling Equity Act (SREA) Reasonable Care Compliance Program. After two years of offering SREA Reports at the member price year-round, the trade association is returning to an “Open Season” ordering model.
SREA Subcommittee Chair Jim Wiseman of Smart Recycling Management explains the change will benefit members and the association by providing a targeted period for members to order their reports at the member price and potentially increasing report sales.
During the Open Season, a member can order a SREA Report on any consuming facility location at the $75 subsidized price. Following the Open Season, if a member orders a report that already has been ordered during the Open Season, then the report price will remain at $75. However, if a member orders a report on a location that was not ordered during the Open Season, the report is considered a “Unique Report” and will cost that member $250. This change is intended to help offset the program’s costs to ISRI by potentially limiting the number of Unique Reports subsidized by ISRI.
SREA program leadership has decided to end the 2022 Open Season on Sept. 30. On Oct. 1, the pricing outlined above will apply and continue through Feb. 28, 2023. Open Season for 2023 and subsequent years will run March 1 through May 31.
SREA orders can be placed through KERAMIDA’s online report ordering portal. The portal is an intuitive, user-friendly, and secure ordering system. ISRI members should log into the portal using their existing ISRI membership login credentials. Nonmembers can use an existing password if they have one, or first-time users can create one.
You will receive an email confirming your order. Once your SREA Reports are finished being compiled, you will be notified via email with instructions about accessing and downloading your reports.
As a reminder, in addition to demonstrating your company’s environmental due diligence efforts, utilizing SREA reports:
- Provide business intelligence on customer operations;
- Provide necessary information to avoid doing business with potential bad actors; and
- Provide possible qualification for exemption from Superfund liability.
