On Friday, Feb. 23, La Grange, KY.-based Stainless Steel Midwest (SSMW), a recycling company that specializes in stainless steel and nickel-based alloys, announced its acquisition of Houston-based Allied Alloys, LP, a pioneering force with compatible expertise in the stainless steel and alloy industry.

According to the press release, this move marks a significant milestone in both companies’ journey toward expansion and innovation.

“I am pleased to grow Stainless Steel Midwest with the addition of Allied Alloys,” said Steve Jones, President of SSMW. “Our companies have had a long business relationship, and this agreement stems from our combined desire to grow our companies for our employees, suppliers, and customers.”

The acquisition will bring together two formidable entities with shared values and complementary strengths. SSMW’s expertise in metal recycling aligns seamlessly with Allied Alloys’ commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions and unparalleled service to its customers.

“Today marks a pivotal moment in our journey as we forge ahead in the realm of metal recycling. This acquisition symbolizes not just a union of two companies but a fusion of our shared commitment to sustainability and innovation,” said Andy Mitch Greenberg, Founder and Partner of Allied Alloys. “Together, we will amplify our impact and reshape the landscape of recycling to pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future.”

Allied Alloys, renowned for its unique products, services, and technologies, has established a reputation for excellence and innovation in the industry.

“By joining forces with SSMW the combined companies will gain access to resources and expertise while expanding market reach to further enhance our ability to innovate and drive growth,” said Mukesh Turakhia, President of Allied Alloys.

Allied Alloys will continue to operate under its current name and brand, ensuring continuity for its customers and partners. However, it will now benefit from the synergies and resources available to the combined entities.

“Today is a testament to the enduring legacy Allied Alloys has built,” said Nidhi Turakhia, CEO of Allied Alloys. “As we join forces with Stainless Steel Midwest, we are poised to shape a new chapter, blending our expertise in metal recycling with their vision for a greener tomorrow. Together, we’ll reshape the landscape of sustainability, one recycled metal at a time.”
