The day will kick off with the ISRI2021 Welcome Breakfast, an opportunity exclusively for members to virtually network with peers and build relationships over a cup of coffee or breakfast.
State of the Association and Keynote featuring José Andrés, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. EDT
ISRI Convention Chair Stephen Moss will provide the welcoming address. ISRI Chair Gary Champlin will provide the State of the Association address. The ISRI Safety Awards will also be presented. World renowned chef José Andrés will give the keynote address. Andrés will discuss why a culture of innovation and creativity not only leads to personal and organizational success, but also a better tomorrow for all.

R2v3 from a Recycler’s Perspective, 12:45 pm – 1:30 p.m. EDT
The R2 standard has successfully raised the bar for best practices in responsible electronics recycling for more than a decade. The latest version of that standard, R2v3, will challenge recyclers to take it to a new level to be certified. Panelists who were involved in the revised standard will discuss it and provide insight into the changes needed for certification.
Ferrous Spotlight: Ferrous Markets To Stay in Full Swing?, 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. EDT
North American ferrous markets surged at the beginning of 2021. Thanks to improved manufacturing output and depleted inventories, steel and ferrous scrap prices soared. A panel of experts will discuss the key factors driving the ferrous scrap and steel markets in 2021 and beyond.

This meet and greet will give attendees the chance to directly interact with ISRI President Robin Wiener and hear about the work the association is doing on behalf of the industry.
Recycling in the 117th Congress, 2:45pm – 3:05 p.m. EDT
The recycling industry anticipates 2021 being a pivotal year for the industry thanks to a new Congress focused on climate and other social and environmental issues. During this session, our new House Recycling Caucus co-chairs and our existing House and Senate co-chairs will outline their goals for the next two years and more.

The Exhibit Hall, the Puppy Cam, and the Virtual Photo Booth will be open all day from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EDT, so be sure to visit and engage with our exhibitors, and have a little fun with the Puppy Cam and Virtual Photo Booth when you have some down time.
