For the first time ever, the ISRI Annual Convention and Exposition is taking place in Nashville, Tennessee. ISRI2023 will bring together the rhythm and harmony of recycling like no other event in the industry. ISRI is pleased to announce that Vicente Fox will be the opening keynote speaker at ISRI2023.
“I am so excited we were able to secure Vicente Fox to speak at ISRI’s upcoming convention in Nashville,” said ISRI President Robin Wiener. “Mexico is one of the United States’ largest trading partners for recycled materials used to help maintain a secure and stable manufacturing supply chain within North America, and this — the relationship between Mexico and the United States — is a very important one.”
Exports of recycled materials to Mexico have drastically increased over the last decade, especially as exports to China have decreased. As recent events have shown, a secure supply chain is crucial for essential infrastructure and everyday items.
A visionary leader with a deep understanding of the economic and social challenges facing Latin America, President Vicente Fox is one of the world’s most important voices on the contemporary geopolitical landscape and the role of business in the developing world.
He served as President of Mexico from 2000 to 2006. He was the first candidate from an opposition party to be elected president. Today Fox is an Advisory Board Member at Inolife Sciences and is actively involved on encouraging leadership and creating opportunities for the less favored people through his organization named Centro Fox.
At ISRI2023, Fox will help put into perspective the rhythm and harmony of the recycling industry across North America and the world. “Between USMCA, immigration, and reshoring, there will be lots to talk about,” said Wiener.
