Let ISRI Show You How to Leverage Social Media to Promote Your Business
This week’s Industry Voices was written by Rachel Bookman, ISRI’s director of communications.
Most of us use social media platforms to connect and engage with friends, family, colleagues, and classmates. But the potential for social media goes well beyond keeping personal connections. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and more have all become important components of a business’ marketing plan.
What if you’ve never used social media for your business before? How do you know where to begin and what platform is right for your organization? These questions and more will be answered during ISRI’s Digital Download: Using Social Media to Promote Your Business webinar on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. EST.
Over the last eight years, I have played a lead role in ISRI’s social media efforts. ISRI has experienced tremendous growth in followers and engagement across all social media channels. Part of growing our presence among both members and nonmembers is keeping up with trends and recognizing that different audiences have different needs.
For members, it is important to not only provide relevant content on ISRI’s activities and how they help members, but to also equip members with content they can use to share their stories and explain the benefits of recycling. This includes texts, videos, and graphics. For nonmembers and perhaps those outside of the industry, it is important to showcase the value of recycling, which includes highlighting interesting facts for the public, the latest advocacy initiatives for the media, and making all the work our industry does relatable.
During this webinar, our esteemed speakers, Caitlin Harrison, social media brand manager at Atlantic Recycling Group, and Jasmine Robinson, marketing and human resources culture specialist at South Post Oak Recycling Center, will provide examples and insights into how to successfully use social media for both brand and industry awareness. They will examine the benefits of using social media to promote your business; look at the various platforms available; explain how to get started; and explore ways to make the most of meaningful social engagement opportunities.
Attendees will leave this webinar equipped with strategies for success that’ll enable them to effectively use social media for their businesses. For those who have not used social media before, you’ll leave equipped with the confidence to branch out and start using these innovative tools to expand your business operations.
