On Wednesday, Sept. 11, West Michigan-based recycler PADNOS announced that it has acquired three recycling facilities in Michigan and Indiana.

Headquartered in Holland and Grandville, PADNOS has acquired two additional locations in Michigan: Howe Auto Sales in Bay City and Grandpa’s Garage in Traverse City. The company also acquired Sam Winer & Company Inc. in Elkhart, IN.

“These three acquisitions align with our strategy to grow our regional network,” said Jonathan Padnos, PADNOS’ president and CEO. “PADNOS looks forward to serving the communities in Elkhart and Bay City while continuing to serve in Traverse City.”

The company plans to consolidate the Traverse City location with a nearby PADNOS location, PADNOS Traverse City. While the other two will be renamed PADNOS Elkhart and PADNOS Bay City.

PADNOS has 30 locations between Michigan and Indiana, with more than 900 employees. Founded in 1905, the fourth-generation, family-owned company recycles materials including metals and plastics.

“We look forward to growing our recycling center footprint and providing the great PADNOS customer service experience at these new locations,” said CFO Ben Irwin.
